Hotel staff and restaurant workers, you’re invited to Theatre Dublin on Monday, May 4th for Good Things Happen Here (Because of YOU), a thank you from us to you during National Travel and Tourism Week!

As the tourism for Dublin GA, we know you are the frontline when it comes to the visitor experience. Sometimes, you are the only people Dublin’s visitors talk to, and that frames their entire impression of our community. For everything you do for our guests and to keep us and so many businesses busy, we’re hosting a fun evening of munching, gabbing, and learning more about your community and the people who benefit from you being awesome at your job!

This event is ONLY for hotel and restaurant workers in Dublin-Laurens County. RSVP is required by May 1st, so check your schedule for Monday night and use the link below to register.

High flying good times are happening this weekend in Dublin GA!🛩️

Bring along the kiddos for a day at W.H. ‘Bud’ Barron Airport filled with planes, trucks, emergency vehicles, good food, and good times during Wheels & Wings and Other Fun Things on Saturday, May 2nd. From 9 AM to 2 PM, frolic amongst vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Admission is only a donation to Kids Cup.

This year presents a unique opportunity for all of us across Georgia to roll out the red (white and blue) carpet like never before!

As we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday this year, AND welcome visitors from around the world for the World Cup 2026, all eyes will be on destinations just like ours. The Real South Georgia.

With Atlanta serving as a host city for World Cup matches throughout June and July, Georgia is expected to see an incredible influx of both domestic and international travelers. Around 520,000 visitors to be exact. This is our moment to shine, and not just in Atlanta, but in every community across the state while visitors are traveling throughout Georgia not just for a match or two, but for approximately two weeks!

We encourage you to join us in creating a warm, Dublin welcome for visitors, in the spirit of America, by enhancing your spaces in simple but impactful ways:
🇺🇸Display patriotic bunting, flags, or window décor in celebration of America’s 250
🇺🇸Add welcoming window paintings or signage for international guests
🇺🇸Incorporate red, white, and blue or globally inspired touches throughout your property
🇺🇸Train staff to offer a friendly, enthusiastic “welcome” that reflects the spirit of our community
🇺🇸Organizing America 250 events that we would LOVE to help promote on the official GA250 website

These small efforts go a long way in creating a sense of place and leaving a lasting impression on our visitors.

Though it is estimated the impact generated by our visitors in Georgia will be more than $500 million, this is more than just a busy season…it is a HISTORIC summer for the state of Georgia. Together, we have the chance to showcase our hospitality, pride, and the unforgettable experiences that make our destination so special.
