Put your walking shoes on (or a pair of boots from Strickland’s), and head to Downtown Dublin GA where reliable staples remain, buildings stand the test of time, and revitalization is always bringing in something new. Stroll to shop, stroll to learn, stroll for your soul.

Fresh Madness

Saturdays start at the Farmers Market at Market on Madison with fresh baked goods, fruits and veggies galore, wellness items for your body, and so much more! Meander up and down the pavilion until your arms are full, grab a coffee or lemonade for the rest of your journey, and don’t forget to bring a cooler to keep your goods chilled while you spend your Saturday strolling downtown.

Heart of the City

Galavant to Jackson Street via Bicentennial Plaza to get your shopping on. Girls just want to have fun, and they do at The Exchange with the latest trends for tweens to adults, while both Miller & Company and Smith’s of Dublin are full of divine finds. Brighten your day with a stop at Hello Sunshine Co. and find the latest in board games at Comics& which is housed in what the locals still call the Old Ma Hawkins Restaurant.

Are you looking for a leisurely stroll? Downtown Dublin GA is a Georgia Exceptional Main Street (GEMS), so there is a bounty of beauty to see. Across from the historic Fred Roberts Building, serenity and sculpture are tucked away at Founder’s Park next to Morris Bank. Flowers from Black’s Seed Store fill the pots along Jackson Street, which is full of history. Read all about it on the Historic Downtown Walking Tour as you meander down to the award-winning Jackson Plaza, Dublin’s most photographed downtown space.

GEMS All Around

You have to be hungry by now, and Downtown Dublin GA is the best place to fill that belly. Savor award-winning dining at Company Supply and Deano’s, or head to Minute Grill, a downtown staple since 1963 where southern food aficionado, John T. Edge, recently filmed an episode for his show True South.

Miriam Lewis

Once upon a time, a serial reader of Little Women and Little House On The Prairie, Miriam Lewis has harnessed her love of great storytelling, beautiful photography, and good people, and bundled it into a big package that is Executive Director of Visit Dublin GA. As a destination veteran Miriam joined Visit Dublin GA in 2015. She oversees Dublin Visitors Center operations & staff and Dublin and Laurens County’s marketing communications while leading strategic initiatives to maintain and strengthen the tourism industry in Dublin. Her favorite work hobbies include making good old fashioned paper lists (plural), reminding staff to take their breaks (they sometimes listen), quality checking local eats (she’ll quickly suggest goat curry or tongue tacos), and building relationships which become links in partnership across the state, boosting an economic engine for the Laurens County community.
