6. Pedal to the Metal

Head on down the highway to the 441 Speedway on Saturday, Aug 12th for the Family Fun Spectacular. Featuring bomber, crate, late model, pure stock, and super street racing for a thrilling night of speed and roaring engines!  Oh, but that’s not all! Grab a $5 hot dog special, enter the kids for the free bike giveaway and sit back for a breathtaking fireworks display! Gates open at 4 PM and entry to the Grandstands is $15 for adults and kids under 16 get in free with paid adult. To get in on the rip-roaring action in the pit, the cost is $25 for adults, $10 for kids 6 to 10, and 6 and under get in free. All tickets purchased from the rained out shows are being honored. 10. Escape

If you haven’t heard the buzz, Monday, Aug 21st is gonna be an epic day! Mother Nature is favoring us with a total Solar Eclipse! Open call for student’s entering 1st through 12th grade to come out and audition for The Wiz of the West, a production of the Missoula Children’s Theatre on Monday, Aug 21st from 4 PM to 6 PM at Theatre Dublin.  The audition fee is $10 and a rehearsal schedule will be provided. 15. Found Fun

Head to Beddingfield Park in Caldwell for the 1st Annual Cadwell Founders Day Festival on Saturday August 19th from 10 AM to 6 PM. Shop for local arts and crafts, enjoy an exciting line up of live music, some great BBQ, and so much more! Carter’s Rockin Rides will be on hand to entertain the little ones.

16. Summer Fades

As summer fades, make the trip to the Visitor’s Center in Dublin, GA to find hand painted souvenirs to delight, books in the lending library to read, #DublinGARocks to find, and our Georgia Grown garden is getting a fall makeover!
