Perfect for young children and children of all ages, this abridged version of a operatic favorite combines trickery, wishes, love and lots of laughter!
Hansel And Gretel
To celebrate its 40th year on the road, the 2019-2020 season features a new adaptation of Humperdinck’s enchanting fairytale Hansel and Gretel where students are invited to take centerstage alongside Atlanta Opera artists. Suitable for all ages, this Hansel and Gretel teaches valuable lessons about being polite, making friends, and not judging a Witch by her wardrobe.
Atlanta Opera Workshop
Known throughout the region and across the nation, the Atlanta Opera has helped foster young talent internationally. Their educational workshop series aims to spread a love for opera to children by presenting shorter versions of classic tales, while giving singers, directors, and performers an opportunity to hone their skills.
Designed to travel, The Atlanta Opera Studio Tour productions are presented in schools and community venues across the state of Georgia each season. Educators are provided with comprehensive Study Guides which feature cross-curricular lesson plans and activities corresponding to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
Evening performance tickets for Hansel and Gretel are $20 at Theatre Dublin’s box office Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM or two hours prior to show time. Season tickets are $50 at the box office and include one ticket admission to all Dublin-Laurens Arts Council (DLAC) performances during the 2019-2020 season in addition to a 2019-2020 membership in DLAC.
