Beaverdam WMA Small Game Hunting

An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until February 28, 2019
Go hunt during small game hunting at Beaverdam Wildlife Management Area from December 23rd through February 28th daily from dawn until dusk.
Small Game hunting specifics
- Alligators may be hunted during open archery dates concurrent with the alligator season only.
- Coyotes: Weapons restricted to legal firearms and archery. Electronic calls may be used. No night hunting.
- Furbearers: Raccoons, opossum, foxes, and bobcats may be hunted. Night hunting is allowed. Hunters must pick up their dogs by 12 noon on the day following the hunt. Electronic calls are prohibited.
- Crows, Snipe, & Woodcock: Electronic calls permitted for crows. No limit on crows.
- Bird dog training allowed. Furbearer dog training is not allowed in Beaverdam WMA during small game hunt seasons. Bird dogs are allowed in the dog training area.

Licenses & Permits
Any person entering any designated fee area on state-owned WMAs must process:
Georgia Lands Pass
Annual fee: $30 for residents & $60 for nonresidents
1 – Free Quota Alligator Harvest Permit is available for all Lifetime Sportsman’s License, Disability Sportsman’s License, Disability Hunting License, Honorary License, and Optional Youth Sportman’s License holders selected for an Alligator Quota hunt.
2 – Non-resident trapping license requires a forfeiture bond.
3 – Free Georgia Migratory Bird Stamp is available for all resident Landowners who hunt their own property and any hunter with a valid Sportsman’s License, Optional Youth Sportsman’s License, Disability Sportsman’s License, Disability Hunting License, Honorary License or Lifetime Sportsman’s License.
4 – Privileges for the multi-year Youth License are valid until the person’s 17th birthday.
Additional Day – days can be added for up to 11 consecutive days

Pitch your tent at Beaverdam WMA!
All camps shall be in designated campgrounds unless otherwise posted at the check station. Camping shall be limited to a period of time not to exceed 14 consecutive days. It is unlawful for any person to use any musical instruments, radios, televisions, generators or other noise making devices after 10:00 p.m. or before 7:00 a.m. in such a manner that such devices may be heard by other WMA visitors. Camping or driving motor vehicles on managed wildlife openings is prohibited. Carving, cutting, chopping or damaging of live trees is prohibited. Loaded firearms are prohibited in camping areas, except that any person possessing a Weapons Carry License that is valid in this state may carry such firearm except where prohibited by law. Campers are responsible for their own trash. No person shall unreasonably disturb or annoy others through abrasive, insulting, or threatening words or actions, or disobey any lawful order of a law enforcement official, or act in a manner resulting in a breach of the peace.

Beaverdam WMA is located off US Hwy. 441 N 4.5 miles from Dublin, GA. Turn right on Old Toomsboro Road. Go 7.5 miles to WMA sign, then turn right on Oconee Church Road. Turn at WMA sign.
