Lucky for you, here in Dublin GA, we give you six weeks of frolics and family fun! Here’s 23 reasons to get those Irish eyes a’ smiling during Dublin’s 59th Annual St. Patrick’s Festival in March. Click the blarney links below if yer lookin’ for celebrations and shenanigans!

1. Pig in the Park

Smell the grills heating up as the St. Patrick’s Festival kicks into high gear during the Pig in the Park BBQ Championship at the Market on Madison! Starting at 7 PM on Friday, March 1st, sample smokey and savory BBQ from competitors while rocking out to the First Friday lineup: The Danville Train and Cissy’s Southern Express. The fun continues on Saturday, March 2nd from 10 AM to 4 PM with kiddie rides, food vendors, DJ Dustin Underwood, and the competition awards ceremony.

2. Used Book Sale

Finger through a variety of well-loved literary finds at the Laurens County Library’s St. Patrick’s Used Book Sale. From March 2nd through 15th, purchase a treasure trove of books, audio books on cassette, DVDs, and tune on both cassette and CD for just 50¢ to $1 each. All purchases are CASH ONLY. The book sale takes place during regular library hours.

3. St. Pawtrick’s Costume Contest

Decked out in St. Patrick’s attire, precious pups prance on their paws to find out who’s the most spirited dog of them all! Spectate or join the competition on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:30 AM at Pitts Toyota, 210 North Jefferson Street. Registration is $10 per dog and starts at 10 AM. All proceeds benefit the Dublin-Laurens County Humane Society. After the competition, grab yourself and your furry friend a treat from Williamson’s Bakery.

4. Matt Adams, Master Illutionist

Feel the magic this St. Patrick’s season during the Matt Adams, Master Illusionist Show at Bethsaida Baptist Church, 2510 US Hwy 80 West. On Saturday, March 2nd at 6 PM, you’ll be at the edge of your seat as Adams performs head scratching tricks and illusions. The most magical part of all: the show is FREE!

5. Emerald City Fight Night

If you’re a wrestling fan, you’re in luck! Lariato Pro Wrestling Guild is back in Dublin GA on Saturday, March 2nd at 338 West Laurens Road for Emerald City Fight Night. Get ready to hoot and holler for action-packed family-friendly fun featuring LPWG Heavyweight Champion Bryce Cannon versus Matt Cardona, John Skyler versus Brock Anderson with WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson, an appearance from new LPWG president and Dublin’s own LAZER, and more! Seats are $10 and can be purchased HERE or at the door. Doors open at 6:30 PM for General Admission; show starts at 7:30 PM.

6. Littlest Leprechuan Contest

Little Irish personalities will be shinin’ through during Littlest Leprechaun Contest at Theatre Dublin on Tuesday, March 5th at 6 PM. Delight in creative costumes and clever characters of wee lads and lassies with admission at $5 for adults, $3 for children 3 to 12, and 3 and under for FREE!

7. Balloon Fest & Glow

Hot air balloons aglow at the Irish Balloon Festival and Glow

Light up your weekend at the St. Patrick’s Balloon Fest & Glow starting at 5 PM through 8:30 PM on Friday, March 8th and again on Saturday, March 9th. Fly over to the Dublin Civitan Fairgrounds for glowing evenings of on-site concessions and live music from Scott Brantley on Friday and Bravis Runyon on Saturday!

8. Kite Flying Jamboree

Bring your favorite kite as the luck of the Irish blows in steady breezes for St. Patrick’s Kite Flying Jamboree at Wellspring Baptist Church on March 9th from 11 AM to 3 PM. Take flight with free admission, enjoy refreshments, and visit with Lucky the Leprechaun!

9. Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament

Pull out your paddles for the St. Patrick’s Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th from 8 AM to 5 PM at Southern Pines Regional Park. Spectating is FREE and encouraged. Players can register HERE!

10. Leprechuan Contest

Cheer on our lads and lassies as they compete for the gold, disguising themselves as the ultimate leprechaun during Leadership Dublin-Laurens Leprechaun Contest on March 12th at Dublin High School Auditorium at 6 PM. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for 3 to 12 year olds, and FREE for 3 and under!

11. Pancake Supper

Prepare to feed your Irish spirit during the Exchange Club of Dublin’s most filling tradition! The St. Patrick’s Pancake Supper is held Thursday, March 14th from 4 PM to 8 PM at Dublin Middle School. Each batch of homemade pancakes is cooked fresh and served up piping hot!

12. Leprechaun Road Race

Gear up for Dublin GA’s Annual St. Patrick’s Leprechaun Road Race featuring a 1K Fun Run/Walk, 5K, and 10K where the whole family can run to support Heart Of Georgia Fellowship Of Christian Athletes on Super Saturday, March 16th at 8 AM. All events start and finish at Dublin High School’s Old Gymnasium. Early registration is $25, and you can do that HERE! Day-of registration is $30.

13. Annual St. Patrick’s Tennis Tournament

The ball is in your court during the St. Patrick’s Festival Tennis Tournament on March 16th and 17th at Dublin High School Courts located at 1127 Hillcrest Parkway. Matches start at 9 AM for singles, 12:30 PM for doubles, and 2:30 PM for mixed. Registration is $30 per event per person and $50 for two events per person. Spectating is FREE!

14. Arts & Crafts Festival

Explore the best of Dublin GA during the St. Patricks Arts & Crafts Festival on Super Saturday, March 16th from 9 AM to 4 PM as live music, performers, artisans, and food vendors take center stage at Market on Madison and Bicentennial Plaza for a jig of epic proportions! With free admission and an area devoted wholly to kiddie fun, bring the whole family!

15. St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Everyone’s a wee bit Irish in Dublin GA during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown on Super Saturday, March 16th at 10 AM. Get those Irish eyes smiling as hundreds of bright green floats take to Jackson Street and Bellevue Avenue for the ultimate celebration of Irish pride. Be sure to wear your green and get ready to frolic with “Lucky”!

16. Art Show

ART Dublin shows off the talent of young, local artists during the Dublin/Laurens Student Art Show on Super Saturday, March 16th from 10 AM to 3 PM. Stop by the First Baptist Church Family Life Center at 402 Bellevue Avenue to view paintings and drawings from the local schools.

17. Irish Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner

Eat like an Irishman during the Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 11637. Dig in on Super Saturday, March 16th from 11:30 AM to 3 PM at First Methodist Church. Tickets are $13 at the door or get advanced tickets at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and at the First Methodist Church for $12 and $5 for children 13 and under. 

18. Pub Crawl

Sip tasty and tipsy offerings from Downtown Dublin’s finest during the Warriors Ranch Pub Crawl on Super Saturday, March 16th. The fun begins at 12 PM where you start at Company Supply, grab your exclusive St. Pat’s bling, stamp card, and crossword, and sip a specialty drink from each of the locations before 6 PM. Turn in your filled out stamp card and crossword to win a Warriors Ranch T-Shirt! Registration is $15 HERE or $20 day of the event.

19. Music & Munchies

Do a jig or two while the family chows down on some tasty food during Music and Munchies on Super Saturday, March 16th with the gates opening at 5:30 PM on West Jackson Street in Downtown Dublin GA. Presented by Citizens Bank and Company Supply, Cash’s Juke Joint gets the groove going, and later in the night, The Swingin’ Medallions supply the tunes to keep your Irish spirits high. Admission to groove and grub is $15 at the gate. Tickets are NONREFUNDABLE.

20. Super Sunday Brunch

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and eat like an Irishman with the whole family as Super Sunday Brunch dishes up all your favorite brunch foods Sunday, March 17th from 11 AM until 1 PM at Dublin Country Club. Down a few mimosas or open your eyes with a fresh cup of coffee!

21. Harry O’Donoghue Returns!

The classic Irish tunes, jigs, and stories hit the Theatre Dublin stage when Harry O’Donoghue returns to Downtown Dublin GA! Grab a drink, enjoy some craic, and laugh and sing along to this Irishman’s songs and stories! The show starts at 7 PM on Thursday, March 21st. Tickets are $10.

22. 120th Carnegie Library Anniversary Celebration

Indulge in an elegant evening of celebrating history during the 120th Carnegie Library Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, March 28th at the Carnegie Library. Have a glass of wine, savor decadent charcuterie, and sway to the enchanting piano tunes of local musician, Luke Jones. This celebration contributes to the preservation of this historic landmark. Admission is $65 per person or $120 per couple and grants entry, 2 drink tickets, and charcuterie.

23. Fantastic Futures: Dublin FanCon

A family of Hobbits at Fantastic Futures: Dublin FanCon

Find a world of new adventures for everyone during Laurens County Library’s Fantastic Futures: Dublin FanCon on Saturday, March 30th. Celebrate all things sci-fi and fantasy by cosplaying your favorite character and exploring spectacular sights. Step into a dimension of fun from 10 AM to 2 PM. Admission is FREE!
