Visit Dublin GA announces Dublin’s 4th Annual Taste of Juneteenth as recipient of FY 2023 Cycle 2 Tourism Grant Funding

Dublin, May 5th, 2023-Visit Dublin GA announced today that it has awarded $2,000 in tourism grant funding to CultureSHOCK, Inc. to provide marketing support to the upcoming Dublin’s 4th Annual Taste of Juneteenth Festival, dedicated to expanding tourism in Dublin. This grant funding is Cycle 2 of 2 for FY 2023.

“We’re pleased our organization is able to offer financial support to culturally significant Dublin’s Taste of Juneteenth Festival, and know the Tourism Product Development grant funding will provide assistance in marketing to visitors outside our region, and state,” said Visit Dublin GA Director Miriam Ponton Lewis. “Since the 2022 development and launch of the Tourism Grant Program, we’ve already seen the tourism aspect of events and product being viewed with more regard by planners and organizers.”

The Tourism Grant Program is designed for qualified applicants whose projects or events clearly align with Visit Dublin GA’s mission to enhance the economic base of the community through tourism.

Visit Dublin GA announced the inaugural Tourism Grant Program September 1st, 2022 to provide funds for marketing, product development, and other qualified expenses that foster local economic impact, result in increased overnight visitors, and enhance destination appeal for Laurens County. FY 2024 cycles of the Tourism Grant Funding opens August 1st, 2024.

Visit Dublin GA promotes Laurens County as a destination for tourists and conventions, invests in local community resources that encourage tourism and conventions, and coordinates and stages events with regional and state-wide interest.
